Rampant enthusiasts of the ‘Hammer Horror’ film genre from the mid 50s to the early 80s they write our material after dark.
Fashioned in the darkest recesses of 19th century England. The Bleeed are purveyors of bleach era gonzoid, bat cave melodrama and not a little carry on screaming schlock, delivered in high Vanian camp. They operate in a netherworld of glamourous gothic vixens and chilling schizoid morasses of the mind, from a deep dark cupboard under the stairs in Hammer Horror’s leafy Hertfordshire bedrock. With song titles to match their obsession, they prepare to invade your self conscious with screams and dreams of the ultimate Elstree studios siren – Valerie Leon, queen of neon.
Life is for winners and only winners… ‘Dream boy doing well’ is about dead winners, dead from life… dead ending… dead bored… dead frustrated… imagine… Johnny the horrifying man from Repetition by David Bowie in a scene from a 1970’s Hammer Horror Film… infused with the dark hopeless sarcasm of the queen in snow white… that’s what the Bleeed are serving up for you this time dear friends, go on take a bite!
Beautiful Wolf, TB telski, Andreas Vanderbraindrain and Wasabi P on an awayday from The Tuesday Club, popped into the Church of Steve Honest to mark their love of Hammer Horror and record a couple of EPs
This, the first EP, features ‘The Silent Scream’ the title of which is taken from the 80s TV spin off Hammer House of Horror series, starring the masterly Peter Cushing. Followed by a tribute to Valerie Leon, star of the Hammer film – ‘The Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb’. The last Track, ‘Super Juice’ named in honour of our now sadly dear departed friend Terry ‘Super’ Cockell.
